Description: 1985 Pierre Cardin jacket in metallic embossed leather featuring an allover crocodile-effect pattern rendered in lustrous pewter and taupe tones. Cut in a relaxed, boxy silhouette with broad dropped shoulders, voluminous sleeves, and a softly structured shawl-inspired collar, the design reflects the bold proportions and experimental surface treatments that defined Cardin’s mid-1980s work. An elasticized waist creates subtle blousing through the body, while dark button closures and oversized cuffs reinforce the garment’s architectural presence. Combining exotic skin illusion with futuristic metallic sheen, the jacket exemplifies Pierre Cardin’s fascination with innovative materials and sculptural outerwear during one of the most expressive periods of the decade.
Condition: Gently worn with no obvious damage. Elastic around the waist needs replacing.
