About Us
Ken studied costume design, but his true passion has always been the history of fashion. After graduating, he entered the film industry, working across commercials, film, and television. His credits range from campaigns for Pepsi-Cola and MTV to films featuring Dennis Hopper and Kathy Bates, as well as Barney and Friends with Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato.
During this time, Ken began collecting and renting vintage clothing for the film industry—laying the foundation for what would become Vintage Martini, created with his husband, Greg. What began as a passion quickly evolved into a full-scale pursuit; their growing archive led them from local flea markets to specialized shows across the country, working with major fashion houses including Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan, and even Comme des Garçons.
Early pioneers in the vintage E-commerce market, Ken and Greg were among the first to sell vintage clothing on eBay and launched one of the earliest online vintage platforms in 1999. They opened their first retail store in 2007, steadily building what is now Martini Consignment into a globally recognized destination for rare and collectible fashion.
The store has been featured on numerous television programs and was recently named one of the best vintage stores in the world by Vogue. In 2025, Ken and Greg were invited to exclusively represent and sell the archives of the prestigious French couture house Pierre Cardin—a milestone that reflects decades of expertise, trust, and influence in the world of vintage fashion.
